Melanie Fiona honored the late Amy Winehouse in concert earlier this year when she passed, while performing for Steve Madden’s Summer Series in New York’s Standard Hotel. In the intimate setting of the Le Bain pool bar, Melanie appropriately covered Amy’s infamous song about shoes, “F*** Me Pumps,” before lightly singing along to The Zuton’s “Valerie” and her hit single “Rehab.”
During our exclusive sit-down, Fiona also discussed releasing her previously-recorded YouTube cover of Amy’s “Wake Up Alone,” as well as the state of her highly-anticipated sophomore album The MF Life and her mixtape.
