Jay-Z’s Rocawear company planned to cash in on the whole Occupy Wall Street protest by selling a line of t-shirts reading “Occupy All Streets.”
But as soon as folks found out that the company would not be donating any proceeds to the movement, fans and critics began to cry foul!
One very vocal protestor named Grim said,
“Jay-Z, as talented as he is, has the political sensibility of a hood rat and is a scrotum. To attempt to profit off of the first important social moment of 50 years with an overpriced piece of cotton is an insult to the fight for economic civil rights known as #occupywallstreet.”
Ouch.
The tees have vanished from the Rocawear’s website.
