Touré of FUSE spoke to Common on the Grammy Awards red carpet and asked the rapper about battling Drake. The Chicago MC relayed that any rift he had with the YMCMB rapper he called “Canada Dry” is over.

“It was all in the art of Hip-Hop, but it’s kind of over now,” explained Common. “He said some thing to me, so I had to say some things back.”

The “So Sweet” rapper added, “I heard something that was said that I felt that was directed to me, and I addressed it. That’s all. Thank God we was able to mover forward from it, and all is good.”

Touré went on to ask why Com even bothered to address Drake, who the author/host said is basically an R&B singer. But Common felt obligated to take up the challenge. “If you playing against me and you challenged me at any point, I’m an MC, I like MC’ing, I love it. That’s what I go for.”

Common also spoke on Whitney Houston, saying, “Her spirit will definitely be here by all the things she’s done.  I just want to saylove to her and god bless her soul and send love and as many prayers to her family.”
