Gucci Mane remains behind bars, facing a 20 year sentence on two gun charges, but might be catching a break via a plea deal.

According to Radar Online, the rapper (real name: Radric Davis) and prosecutors have asked that his trial be pushed back — it was set for April 15 — as both sides work out a plea deal.

“All parties anticipate resolution without the need of a trial,” court documents say.

“The parties believe they may have resolved this matter subject to certain approvals including a meeting with the Court. However, due to various schedule conflicts, counsel have been unable to finalize the matter and given defense counsels respective absence from the jurisdiction over the next week, will be unable to finalize the matter prior to the trial date.”

In December, Gucci was charged with two counts of possessing a firearm as a felon, stemming from two separate incidents in last September.

If he’s convicted he could face up to 20 years in prison.

Despite being incarcerated, Gucci is set to release two new mixtapes, Brick Factory, Vol. 1 and Young Thugga Mane La Flare, due out later this month.
