According to Eben Gregory, the internet is swirling with rumors that Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes is getting some super serious consideration to join the cast of the E! show Fashion Police. They are reportedly thinking of picking a diverse candidate to fill the chair left by the late Joan Rivers.
Leakes is said to be a front runner because she has great comic timing.
The E! network announced the show would return to air however, it won’t be back until next year.
The network said it’s what the comic legend (whose daughter Melissa Rivers is a Fashion Police producer) would have wanted.
Rivers’ friend comedienne Kathy Griffin, is also reportedly a front runner to replace her.
Leakes, previously launched a clothing line for HSN that had pieces selling out of stock almost as soon as they were introduced. Most of the clothes in her NeNe Leakes Collection sold out in a day which ain’t too shabby! (We wonder how She By Sheree did….what… too soon?)
Some of the Fashion Police’s cast reportedly think that returning to the air is just a bad idea all together.
Sources say Kelly Osbourne,
“Feels that it is pointless to continue on with the show. Kelly says that anyone that you try replace Joan Rivers with will fail miserably.”
There is no word on what the other Fashion Police hosts Giuliana Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos think should be done .
In the meantime we guess everyone will just have to wait and see if the veteran RHOA star is going to back away from her Bravo! gig to pick up the E! job or if she can do both simultaneously or if she will decide to do nothing at all!
