Yesterday was not only 50 Cent’s bday, but he released his free album 5: Murder by Numbers. But leave it to 50 to piss someone off. He tweeted an insult to a heckler and used Autism as the punchline. Mother to an autistic son, Holly Robinson Peete wasn’t having that, and let him know how she felt!

It all started when a fan tweeted 50 t0 “release the album or get shot again,” referring to 50′s delayed release of the free album. Well y’all know 50 doesn’t hold his tongue, so he replied back: “yeah just saw your picture fool you look autistic.” Then he went on to say “I don’t want no special ed kids on my timeline.” Cmon, 50…

Holly Robinson Peete saw the tweets and wrote an open letter to 50 Cent:

Dear 50 Cent,

Since last night my twitter timeline is flooded with tweets and retweets about a response you posted to someone who insulted you. When I read it my heart sank. I thought maybe your account had been hacked. No such luck. Granted, his comment was completely out of line but your retort: “i just saw your picture fool you look autistic”- was so so disappointing. I mean, that’s your comeback?? And you didn’t stop there. You went on to joke about not wanting “special ed kids” on your timeline. Seriously, THIS is how you use your platform of 8 million plus followers??

Here’s the full letter:

50 later deleted the posts, so maybe he realized how it sounded, but he has yet to respond to Holly Robinson Peete’s letter.
