According to reports, Ocho’s ex-lover wants the face-to-face so they can both heal.
Sources close to the former girlfriend tell TMZ, the woman has been attempting to reach out to Chad’s wife Evelyn Lozada on Twitter and Facebook — ever since news broke last weekend that Chad had allegedly attacked her. We’re told the ex-GF believes she and Evelyn have a lot to talk about and can help each other heal in the process. According to our sources, the GF has had no luck in reaching Evelyn thus far.. And how’s this for irony … TMZ has obtained Chad Johnson’s certificate of completion from adomestic violence batterers’ treatment program back in 2002, following his domestic battery conviction. Earlier in the week, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” reality star Benzinoweighed in on the publicized incident.
“I think the Chad Johnson and Evelyn situation is a situation where reality TV has to be careful because eveyrbody wants a marriage,” Zino said in an interview. “Everybody wants to see marriage — but when you look at the Kim Kardashian thing withKris Humphries and with the Chad and Evelyn [incident], if you’re not gonna marry someone, if you’re not in love with somebody, you’ve got to be in love with someone and have that spiritual, physical, emotional connection with somebody, then it’s not a good idea to go into a marriage situation based on money, based on fame because all that does is put two people together that eventually are going to get frustrated because they have to be with each other. And what that does is it puts so much pressure on the man and woman to look a certain way for the cameras that when the camera’s not there, you still have to carry on a type of relationship with that person.” (Bossip)
After getting freed from jail and cut by the Miami Dolphins, Ochoreleased an apologetic statement earlier in the week.
It’s been a nightmare couple of days since Chad Johnson was arrested for alleged domestic assault against wife Evelyn Lozada. The wideout was released by the Dolphins, his reality television show was canceled and Lozada announced she’s filing fordivorce. On Tuesday, Johnson issued an apology for “recent events” and didn’t refute Lozada’s claim from earlier in the day that he “made false accusations against” her. “I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred. I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death,” Johnson said in a statement. “I will continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL. To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies. I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life.” (CBS Sports)
Lozada also spoke out this week and stood up for women who have fallen victim to domestic violence.
“It is with great sadness and much trepidation that I release this statement addressing the domestic violence incident that happened this past Saturday. I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me, it is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well. I’m grateful to my family, friends and fans for the outpouring of support during this difficult time.” (USA Today)
