Can you imagine Pac as a No Limit Soldier back in the day? Master P says he wanted to sign the Hip Hop legend.

“To be honest wit’chu, at one time, I was thinking about signing Tupac,” P told Hip Hop DX in an exclusive interview. “[Tupac] was liking the movement of what we was doing.” In addition to the Death Row frontman, P was also looking at Snoop Dogg, who briefly joined his team.

As the story goes, Pac never came on board because No Limit “wasn’t fully there yet.” At that time, pretty much everybody wanted a peace of the No Limit pie, with Pac not only being sought after by P, but showing interest in the imprint. “Everybody was interested in No Limit,” said the New Orleans native.  “I don’t think there was one person in the music business that wasn’t interested in being a part of that movement.”

No Limit propelled P to become one of the richest figures in the rap game. Last year he was named one of the “20 richest Rappers Alive Today” with a net worth of $350 million.

Over the years the label has dwindled in popularity, but P is looking to relaunch the company.
