Four months after Kendrick Lamar’s classic debut album, good kid, m.A.D.D city, made its debut; the Compton rapper premiered the album’s official second single, the Drake-assisted “Poetic Justice.”

The song samples Janet Jackson, so it’s only right that the video would feature an old-school vibe, with K.Dot kicking it at a picnic with a PYT. Like most of Kendrick’s material, things get deeper as an unexpected tragedy occurs at the end of the video.

Before the beat for “Poetic Justice” drops, we hear a snippet of “Sherane a.k.a Master Splinter’s Daughter,” the opening track on the album.

Feelin’ it?
