First Lady Michelle Obama said her heart “swells up with relief” to hear about the freed kidnap victims in Cleveland. In an exclusive interview with the ‘Today Show,’ the mother of two said:

“My heart just … swells up with relief, because just imagine first losing a child and not knowing whether they’re alive or dead or in harm’s way,” she said in the interview that aired on NBC’s “Today” show. “And to be holding out hope for a decade and to finally have those prayers answered is just probably the best Mother’s Day gift … that these families will receive.”

Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were freed Monday from a home in Cleveland where they were held captive for roughly a decade. A 6-year-old girl believed to be Berry’s daughter was also rescued.

Neighbors reported seeing naked women crawling on leashes, a woman with a baby pounding on a window for help, but cops walked away 3 times.
