Burruss Blames “The Wendy Williams Show” for Her Mother’s Views on Tucker.
Kandi Burruss is revealing why she is having trouble setting her mother straight about her relationship with her fiance Todd Tucker.
In Sunday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” fans witnessed Burruss’ mother Joyce lash out at Tucker over a family dinner. While Tucker wanted to work things out with his future mother-in-law, Joyce made it clear that she was less than willing.
After a number of people took to Twitter to question why Burruss did not chastise her mother more for disrespecting her fiance, the singer wrote her response in the form of a Bravo TV blog.
“Everyone says stand up to your mama and blah, blah, blah, but believe it or not I do speak my mind to my mother. I just don’t say it in some crazy disrespectful way, because she is my mother,” Burruss wrote in her blog. “So to everyone who is screaming at me through the TV screen to ‘do something about my mom,’ I’m not sure exactly what you expect me to do.”
Burruss continued to explain her point of view to fans.
“I can only say how I feel, and if she doesn’t listen to me, then what,” she questioned. “I don’t believe in cutting off your relationship with your mom. So for now I’m just hoping that over time things will work out for the best.”
