Speculation of a Space Jam sequel has been in the air for a while, but the rumors seem to have been confirmed. Sort of.

According to a Deadline report, Warner Bros. is developing a screenplay to star the Miami Heat player.

Charlie Ebersol, who already has a good relationship with the NFL through his NFL Characters Unite series on USA Network, is about ready to do the same with the NBA. He has been brought on to the produce the picture through his production company, The Company, from a script by his brother Willie Ebersol. The latter won an Emmy for the London Olympics. This is his first screenplay.

The original film, starring Michael Jordan and a host of cartoon characters, grossed over $90 million. No word on whether other NBA players will be involved in this one, like the original one, which featured Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Shawn Bradley and Muggsy Bogues.

I’m lilD, and that’s the Word Eye Heard. So….will the movie further explain “The Decision” or nah?
