Lauryn Hill just got out of jail for not paying taxes, and it’s looking like she may go back for the same thing!
Just last year, Ms. Hill served 3 months for failure to pay nearly $1 million in taxes. She got out in October and even released new music, but apparently she didn’t finish paying off those bills.
Here’s the breakdown:
The IRS claims that in 2005, she failed to pay $422,008.26. For 2006, she owes $19,838.75; 2007, $61,158.50; 2008, $58,405.71; 2009, $30370.91; 2010, $13,247.73; and 2011, $261,838.19. All together, the damage is $866,868.05.
Lauryn is currently on tour, and she’s going to need to stay there for a long time to pay this off.
