The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced this afternoon that Cleveland is one of six cities in the running to host the party’s 2016 presidential nominating convention.
City officials visited Washington, D.C. last month to pitch Cleveland to RNC leaders, along with representatives from Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, Las Vegaas, Columbus and Phoenix.
Columbus and Phoenix were eliminated, the RNC announced today.
