FINDLAY, Ohio — An Ohio waitress says she was fired after complaining about a bad tipper on Facebook not realizing that the tipper was one of her Facebook friends.

According to WTOL, Kirsten Kelly was a worker at Texas Roadhouse in Findlay.

Kelly was working on a busy Friday night and said several customers weren’t leaving good tips. She posted on Facebook: “If you come into a restaurant and spend $50 or more, you should be able to tip appropriately for that.”

But one of her customers that night was also a former classmate and friends with her on Facebook.

The customer took a screen grab of the Facebook post and showed it to Kelly’s managers.

Texas Roadhouse said in a statement that Kelly used a derogatory comment on her page, and that policy states employees are not allowed to mention the restaurant on social media.
