Actress Raven-Symoné (pictured), who co-starred with Bill Cosby (pictured) on the 80′s/90′s sitcom The Cosby Show, took to Instagram to blast rumors that the man who played her step-grandfather on the show molested her as a child.

Raven-Symoné, who played Olivia Kendall on the show, was only 4-years-old when she landed the role.  Now the 28-year-old performer has come to the defense of the 77-year-old funny man, who is mired in controversy over allegations that he sexually assaulted a number of women during the height of his stardom.

The former “That’s So Raven” star used her Instagram account on Wednesday to inform the public, she is not a Cosby casualty:

“I was NOT taking [sic]  advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show!  I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!”

The actress is the first of The Cosby Show’s kids to come forward in defense of “America’s Dad.”  As a result of all of the allegations accusing Cosby of drugging, then sexually assaulting women, the embattled legend has had several lucrative deals reportedly pulled from the table, by companies like Netflix and NBC.  TV Land will also stop airing reruns of The Cosby Show.

Meanwhile, Cosby’s lawyer, Marty Singer has vigorously denied the allegations against his famous client and released a statement to NBC News recently:

“Over the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr. Cosby have resurfaced,” John P. Schmitt said in the statement on Nov. 16. “The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true. Mr. Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment.”

Thus far, Cosby has not been criminally charged with any sexual assaults. A 2006 civil suit was settled out of court.
