Busta Rhymes caught a bad break while backing his protege O.T. Genasis at a recent appearance at Webster Hall in New York City. As the newcomer performed his break out hit “CoCo,” the rap veteran became so enthralled while assisting with vocals that he fell off the stage.
Busta returned his to feet bloodied with a gash on his head. “I SALUTE ALL CALLS FRM FAMILY AND FRIENDS MAKIN’ SURE I’M GOOD,” he tweeted. The Brooklyn rapper also defended his fall, stating “WE ALWAYS WILL BE ON 10!! WE JUST TOOK 1 STEP 2 FAR OFF THE STAGE AND THAT WAS IT!! SH*T HAPPENS BUT I LOVE IT CAUSE WE LIVE IT!!”
Fortunately, Busta is just fine. His Twitter mentions, however, are not. The social network set fire to the MC in wake of the fall. Per usual, there will always be detractors in situations like these. Peep footage of the incident, and hear what folks said below.
