NickCannon-MariahCarey

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are once again reuniting but not in the romantic sense. It seems the soon-to-be-divorced couple are being sued by a former nanny who accuses Mariah of not paying overtime after working 100-hour-weeks. Simonette DaCosta filed papers today in Manhattan federal court, where she claimed she went to work for Mariah and Cannon in 2013. According to her suit, Simonette alleges she cared for fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe while Mariah was on the road and at home 24 hours a day and was always and the singer’s side. Simonette charges she was paid $6000 to $7000 a month but never received overtime, while not having time designated for sleep, breaks or meals.

The New York Daily News is reporting Simonette also claims she was fired last January after she showed “Dem Babies” as Mariah calls them, too much affection.  Wait, isn’t that a good thing? According to Simonette’s lawyer, Mimi was jealous of her ex-employee’s relationship with her children and was concerned the kids would be confused on who their mother was. Simonette is asking for $100,000 in damages.

Meanwhile, does Mariah have to worry about her Nick coming after her coins as well? The Mirror is claiming Cannon has been going around telling everyone Mariah’s Las Vegas residency was his brainchild. The British tabloid alleges Cannon gave Mimi the idea to set up show at the Colosseum in Caesars Place and thinks he should get some of the millions she will rake in due to the “pain and suffering” he went through during their 6-year marriage. Mariah can be called a diva for some of the antics she’s been accused of  but silly with her money? Nuh uh.
