Iggy Azalea has become one of the most talked about artists in hip-hop (and out) within the span of a year. Whether you enjoy her pop-tinged brand of rap, agree with the implications that her success has been spurred for racial reasons or just don’t really give a damn, everybody seems to have an opinion on her and we don’t mean just inside of the world of music.

She happens to be dating NBA player Nick Young, also known as Swaggy P. Young, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, is known in most circles as an air-headed, shoot-first player and has become a fan favorite for his inflated sense of self and his over-the-top proclamations. He’s a pretty jolly and carefree guy, but a certain ESPN reporter ruffled his feathers Monday (March 1) so much that he decided to share his frustration via social media and fire off a few warning shots.

When he began talking about Young’s infamous dolphin story, he took the time as an opportunity to send a few jabs Iggy’s way. “While dolphins try and kill Nick Young, his girlfriend [Iggy], is trying to kill hip-hop,” Flores added, which was an insult directed at the “Fancy ” creator. Young wasn’t having it. s

Those tweets were eventually deleted, but the Los Angeles Lakers player continued to defend his stance, tweeting that the sports shows wants to be “like BET” and that he can take a joke, but certain things are off limits.
