Bobby Brown, along with Pat Houston, has been named co-guardian of his daughter Bobbi Kristina, who remains comatose, according to E! News.

The news comes after Brown filed a petition last month asking to become her guardian and the conservator of her financial affairs.

But while judge Jeryl Debra Rosh granted him co-guardianship with Bobbi K’s aunt, Pat Houston, she denied the conservator request. A third party, lawyer Bedelia Hargrove, has been put in charge of financial matters.

In a statement, lawyers for both sides said:

“We are delighted to inform the public that the court has appointed Bobby Brown and Pat Houston as co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown (‘Krissi’). Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi’s care and medical needs. The Court has also appointed Bedelia Hargrove as the Conservator for Krissi. Ms. Hargrove is responsible for Krissi’s assets, including her likeness, rights and legal claims”

Pat Houston remains the executor of the estate left to Bobbi by her mother Whitney Houston, who died in 2012.

We hope both sides of the family will be able to put their differences aside and work together to do what’s best for Bobbi Kristina’s recovery. She remains on life support at an Atlanta care facility. We’re continuing to keep her and her family in our prayers.
