After a nearly seven-month hospitalization, Bobbi Kristina Brown — the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown — died Sunday at a hospice center in Atlanta.

The 22-year-old, who was found unconscious in the bathtub of her Atlanta home in January, was surrounded by family members at the time of her death.

“She is finally at peace in the arms of God,” the Houston family said in a statement to E! News. “We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

Brown’s death comes three years after her mother’s tragic passing. Houston was found in a similar manner — unconscious in a bathtub — hours before she was scheduled to appear at a Grammy Award’s party at the Beverly Hilton hotel.

In June, aunt Pat Houston told E! News that Brown “continued to deteriorate” despite the hospital’s efforts.

“Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition has continued to deteriorate. As of today, she has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God’s hands now.”

Earlier this month, longtime boyfriend Nick Gordon was hit with a $10 million lawsuit filed by the estate of Brown that accused him of dragging her upstairs by her hair, stealing money, and knocking out her teeth before she was discovered comatose.
