NEW YORK CITY, NY – There are a number of changes to the R&B/Hip Hop single sales chart this week, with DJ Khaled dethroning Drake at #1 with his latest single “For Free,” which just so happens to feature Drizzy throughout. Elsewhere, Kent Jones’ single “Don’t Mind” continues to jump up the charts and lastly, Drake and Beyoncé both slip out of the Top 10 for their singles “Controlla” and “Hold Up” respectively.

DJ Khaled Debuts At #1

DJ Khaled’s “For Free,” the first single off his forthcoming album Major Key, debuts at #1 this week, selling 104,748 units during the seven days leading to June 9. The Miami-based artist and producer premiered the Drake-assisted song, which he has labeled “the record of the summer,” via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music earlier this month.

Drake Forced To #2

Following the emergence of DJ Khaled’s aforementioned single “For Free,” Drake’s “One Dance,” which has sat atop of the chart for a number of weeks, falls to #2 this week. The cut, which features Wizkid and Kyla, sold 93,585 units during the seven days leading to June 9, taking its total sales since its official release to 1,191,885 copies.
