Low Sugar BBQ Sauce

MattyWillz:

The 4th of July is almost here, and for many that means holiday pay, fireworks, American beer and of course – a little good old fashioned BBQ.

For the hosts of these grilling gatherings that means they gotta hit the grocery store, empty out the refrigerator, clean up the house and send out some invites. Seems simple enough, right? Things like not enough food, warm drinks and nowhere to sit while you eat can all put a damper on the days festivities.

After all – the burden of a successful cookout is squarely on the shoulders of the host, isn’t it?

WRONG.

The guests, in my opinion, determine the success of a BBQ just as much as the food, drinks and location. And that’s why I’ve put together a handy checklist of ‘Do’s and Don’ts (as a guest) at Your Holiday BBQ’.

1) BRING SOMETHING

I don’t care if you asked the host what you should bring and they told you not to worry about bringing anything. I don’t care if you asked your BFF what they were bringing, to which they promptly replied ‘Not a got’damn thing!’. I don’t care if your broke. I don’t care if you’re going straight to the cookout after work and you don’t have time to stop at home. I don’t care if your mama is the one throwing it. I don’t care.

Don’t go empty handed. Pick up some paper towels. Go grab a bottle (although pints and shorter are unacceptable). I don’t care if you pick up a bag of ice! Don’t be a freeloading ass! Bring SOMETHING!

2) BUT DON’T BRING SOMETHING YOU’RE NOT GONNA EAT!
