Levi Carter is the latest and greatest young talent to fly out of Virginia. Levi Carter born Jared Levius began rapping and playing with melodies back in 2008.
Describing his own sound as “next level galaxy trap shit” the 22-year-old hip-hop hopeful has been around for less time than it takes most artists to write their first song, let alone be on everyone’s radar.
It was only this past February that Levi Carter released his impressive debut album, ANTISOCIAL, featuring such undeniable gems as “Finessed” and “You Not Gang,” and he has continued to move forward with near incomprehensible speed. Just since lighting up Austin at this year’s SXSW, Carter has dropped a fistful of hazy and faded tracks online “911″, “XXL” and “Diamonds on Me.”
Levi Carter’s star is growing. He crafted a complete project where all you receive lyrically is him, introducing who he is before the influence of a guest can drive your opinion. That is a product of Levi’s confidence. He knows that he is supposed to be here and working toward proving himself isn’t for anyone but himself, marking it as his first task that he will see form start to finish.
