We were so sad to hear legendary comedian Charlie Murphy passed away last week. At 57 years old, he’d lost his battle with Leukemia, a fight he never announced to the world. Fans were shocked to hear the news. This week, on Wednesday, April 20, his friends and family got together for his funeral service, where he was properly laid to rest and remembered fondly in all the photos that would surface thereafter. Cedric the Entertainer, George Lopez, and Dave Chappelle were just a few of the stars and fellow comedians in tow for the ceremony and they all paid their respects.

Cedric called Charlie his “legendary” brother:

D.L. Hughley’s tribute picture following the ceremony was heartwarming:

Actor Eddie Griffin also shared a great photo from the night:

After his death, Charlie Murphy’s family said in a statement to E! News: “Our hearts are heavy with the loss today of our son, brother, father, uncle and friend Charlie. Charlie filled our family with love and laughter and there won’t be a day that goes by that his presence will not be missed. Thank you for the outpouring of condolences and prayers. We respectfully ask for privacy during this time of great loss for all of us.”
