Beyonce Gets A Ticket and Crashes While Driving!?!

It seems like celebrities are running loose when it comes to abiding by the laws. Some celebrities believe that their fame can get them out of serving time in the slammer. FromLindsay Lohan to Young Mula Lil’ Wayne, law enforcement is cracking down on celebs who violate the law. Recently, some celebs have been slapped with a hefty fine for breaking the law. Some celebrities who received a ticket in the past are:Rihanna’s speeding ticket back in 2009 in Hollywood Boulevard, Khloe Kardashian’s DUI arrest in Los Angeles in 2008, and Ice T’s seatbelt violation and arrest for driving with a suspended license a couple of weeks ago.

Sheesh!

In major headlines the “Ego” queen Beyonce better known as Bey received a ticket for texting while driving. The talented superstar just passed her driving test and received her driving license recently. The most unbelievable part of this story is not Bey’s traffic violation but where was Beyonce’s chauffeur?

Beyonce was pulled over by NYPD and was fined with a $100 ticket. Beyonce was really embarrassed and tried to pull the oldest trick in the books. The diva tried to sweet talk the cop out of giving her a ticket and told the officer she had no idea texting and driving was against the law. The cop didn’t fall for Mrs. Beyonce’s charm and had no idea who the multi-platinum singer was. Beyonce is certainly going to get a call from Oprahherself, after the talk show host held a “No Texting While Driving” campaign. Beyonce can’t sing, “No No No” out of this one!

The rumor mill is spinning- straight outta Wyclef Jean‘s Camp- that The Fugees’ front man may run for President of Haiti. I can dig it. He’d better get a move on. The elections are Nov. 28th, and one must register by Aug. 7 if one wants to be a candidate. Wyclef LOVES his homeland, and if you’ve followed his career all these years you’d know it. The earthquake only intensified his efforts for the country, and today he is still crusading to make sure they get proper aid in the restoration of the country. His star power will ONLY help to keep Haitian issues on Blast! Go ‘Clef, Go! Source

Yéle Launches Major Job Creation Program

PORT-AU-PRINCE, July 12, 2010 – Wyclef announced the creation of Yéle Corps, a new program that will provide jobs to nearly 1,000 people a day cleaning the streets and removing garbage. The program also includes a vocational training component. Nearly 1,000 people attended a Yéle Corps rally at the Place St. Pierre tent camp where Wyclef addressed the first 200 workers to be signed up for the program when it begins operation in the next month. Yéle has received major financial support for this new initiative from the “Hope for Haiti Now Fund,” with secondary support from the BET telethon “SOS Saving OurSelves.”

Yéle Partnering With Project Medishare

PORT-AU-PRINCE, July 12, 2010 – Wyclef presented a check to Project Medishare for the purchase of the first high-resolution CT scanner in Haiti, which will be available to patients regardless of their financial resources. The device will have its own trailer and generator power source and will be installed at Bernard Mevs Project Medishare Hospital in Port-au-Prince, a nonprofit institution working closely with the Haitian Ministry of Health. This technology will allow rapid diagnosis and effective treatment to prevent unnecessary deaths from major heart attacks, strokes, major trauma and maternal emergencies. “It’s important that Project Medishare and Yéle Haiti are partnering at this time to provide the Haitian people with life-saving technology that will be operational within a few weeks,” Dr. Barth Green, president and co-founder of Project Medishare said. “On the six-month anniversary, Project Medishare and Yéle Haiti are working together in a promise to continue improving access to healthcare for all Haitians.”

Judge Marsha Revel sentenced Lindsay Lohan after an incredulous prosecutor, Danette Meyers, told the judge that Lohan has been thumbing her nose at the court.

The evidence was loud and clear today — Lindsay violated probation by failing to attend her alcohol ed classes based on the schedule set by the judge. There were lots of excuses, but ultimately they didn’t fly.

The judge said there was a pattern of violations since Lindsay was placed on probation in 2007 following her plea bargain in her DUI case.

Lindsay broke down as she addressed the court, telling the judge, “I did the best I could.”

Lohan must surrender on July 20 in Judge Revel’s court.

UPDATE: Sheriff’s spokesperson Steve Whitmore just explained … generally, a female inmate in Lindsay’s situation only serves 25% of their sentence … which means LiLo will most likely spend around 23 days behind bars.

A “scared” but resolute Lindsay Lohan began a 90-day jail sentence on Tuesday, trading nightclubs and Twitter messages for a small, isolated cell and an orange jumpsuit.

Lohan, 24, was booked into an all-female jail in south Los Angeles for violating her probation on two 2007 drunk-driving and cocaine possession charges.

At the Beijing Olympics, where LeBron James(notes) was surrounded by such talent and possibility, the Cleveland Cavaliers began to lose their star to free agency. The beginning of his departure came in small moments on the daily bus rides through the city’s choking smog and bigger ones on the basketball court. Together, Dwyane Wade(notes), Chris Bosh(notes) and James kept talking about the summer of 2010, about the chance of a lifetime to chase championships and roll like a touring rock band.

And yet before Pat Riley’s free-agency vision for the Miami Heat could ever be validated, James had to first become a member of that 2008 Olympic team. The public never knew what those on the inside of American basketball’s elite power structure did: In the years and months before Beijing, that was very much in doubt for James.

Back when the Heat’s three new superstars had signed short contract extensions and started to explore the idea of free agency thrusting them together, a different discussion had played out within the NBA and USA Basketball: What should we do with LeBron?

From Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski to managing director Jerry Colangelo to NBA elders, the issue of James’ immaturity and downright disrespectfulness had become a consuming topic on the march to the Olympics. FREE WEEZY UPDATE: Lil Wayne to drop new EP from prison

Lil Wayne likes to push boundaries as an artist. This time, though, we’re not so much speaking of musical boundaries, but the boundaries of the crazy shit he can get away with. First, it was remixing that Drake track from the big house. Then, he had a video released just last week, with over half a year left in his sentence. Now, via Billboard.com, Weezy plans to take it one step further and release an EP this September. What’s next? Day trips to go buy more cough syrup?

In an interview with Vibe, Wayne’s manager, Cortez Bryant, said that the EP, I’m Not a Human Being, will drop September 27th, Mr. Carter’s birthday, and feature only new tracks. Bryant said that the aim of the EP is to generate hype for the highly-anticipated Tha Carter IV, something which Wayne’s last album, Rebirth, probably didn’t do much of. While the EP will be a digital release, Bryant did hint that they may package it for a physical release around Christmas. Merry X-Mas, indeed.
