S2S reports that Eddie, who spent much of 2011 battling charges of molestation, was wrapped in a priceless Jewish scroll as his church crowned him. Sunday, Jan. 29 service, was conducted by a rabbi, who explained the significance of the the scroll before bringing Eddie out to the center of the pulpit. “This is a scroll that’s 312 years old,” the rabbi told the New Birth congregation, noting that it is was found at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. “This is a holocaust scroll.”

Supposedly, surrounding him in the scroll is an honor reserved for kings and symbolically hides him in the scriptures. During the ceremony, the bishop remained silent as he was draped in a prayer shawl and given the belt of righteousness that held the scroll together. Eddie, seated in throne-like chair, was then hoisted up by four members of the congregation and carried around stage while holding the scroll.

Not only was he named a king, the rabbi designated him a prophet of Atlanta.

Jewish leaders are criticizing a ceremony that involved a controversial megachurch leader being wrapped in a religious scroll calling himself a “King” to the applause of his Church goers.

*Incarcerated rapper Ja Rule has made good use of his time behind bars in New York – he’s earned his high school diploma.

The artist, real name Jeffrey Atkins, began serving a two-year prison sentence on weapons and tax evasion charges in June. He dropped out of high school as a teenager to pursue his rap career, but he has now finally received his equivalency degree after passing his GED exam.

Ja Rule says he got a little help with his studies from a fellow inmate – Dennis Kozlowski, a college-educated former business CEO.

“I was studying for my GED and Koz came in and talked to me and said, ‘If you need any help, let me know.’ Outside (of prison), you don’t meet guys like this every day. This place is amazing,” Atkins tells the New York Daily News.

The star, who is due to walk free in June 2013, is now looking to further his studies – he plans to begin taking college courses later this month

With Jaden, 13, currently living in Philadelphia with Will and Willow, 11, living mainly in LA with Jada – almost 3,000 miles apart – its only a matter of time until the split is official. And sources say the children are already devastated about being a family divided.

“It’s always a shame when a divorce splits up families,” Jada’s great-aunt Estelle Pinkett tells Star.

Move over Oprah, Beyonce may be poised to be the WEALTHIEST female entertainer in the world. According to an EXTREMELY RELIABLE insider, Simon Cowell has offered Beyonce $500M – to be a judge on the hit TV series X-Factor.

According to MediaTakeOut.com’s insider, who is the same person that EXCLUSIVELY gave us the news that Jennifer Lopez was joining American Idol (see here), Simon Cowell DESPERATELY wants to revive X-Factor and he believes that Beyonce is the one to do it.

The insider explained, “He wants a big name female star on the panel. Mariah [Carey] is good, but she’s not that hot today. He wants Beyonce because that would immediately give him the bounce needed to beat American Idol.”

And Simon is willing to PAY to land Beyonce. Our snitch tells us that he’s offered Beyonce $500M, or $100M per year for 5 seasons. If Bey accepted, she and Jay Z would IMMEDIATELY be worth over $1 BILLION combined.

A few years ago, a very disturbing story broke that Morgan Freeman was still maintaining a 10-year relationship with his step-granddaughter. Although the two are not related through blood, he was once married to her grandmother — Morgan first wife. Freeman 72 and E’Dena Hines 27 are supposedly in love and sources say that the two started dating when she was only 17.

Yahoo reported back in 2009 once Freeman’s second wife found out about their secret affair Morgan filed for divorce. The Enquirer is now claiming that once proceedings goes through in a few weeks, Freeman and Hines are set to wed.

(AllHipHop News) Researchers at Purdue University have developed a new miniature medical sensor that uses the bass of Hip-Hop music to power and recharge itself.

The researchers at Birck Nanotechnology Center at the Discovery Park in West Lafayette created the device that is known as a microelectromechanical system (MEMS).

A study found that acoustic waves for music, especially rap, effectively recharge the device’s pressure sensor.

The professors used a number of genres of music to test the sensor, including Jazz, Blues, and Rock.

“Rap is best because it contains a lot of low frequency sound, notably the bass,” said Babak Ziaie, a Purdue University professor of electrical/computer engineering and biomedical engineering.
The acoustic waves from music or plain tones drive a vibrating device called a cantilever, which sends a charge to power the sensor.

Ziaie, who has applied for a patent for the new technology, further explained how the device actually works.

“Music within a certain range of frequencies, from 200-500 hertz, causes the cantilever to vibrate, generating electricity and storing a charge in a capacitor,” Ziaie explained.

“The music reaches the correct frequency only at certain times, for example, when there is a strong bass component,” he said. “The acoustic energy from the music can pass through body tissue, causing the cantilever to vibrate.”

Perdue hopes the device might help to treat people stricken with aneurisms or incontinence due to paralysis.

About one million packets of birth control pills are being recalled in the United States by Pfizer Inc. because of a packaging error that could reduce the effectiveness of the pills and cause unintended pregnancies.

The recall of 14 lots of Lo/Ovral-28 tablets and 14 lots of generic Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol tablets was announced late Tuesday after Pfizer discovered that some blister packs may contain either too many or too few active pills and that the pills may be out of sequence. The expiration dates on the recalled packets range between July 31, 2013 and March 31, 2014.

The pills are packaged in blister packs containing 21 active tablets and seven inactive tablets. The packaging error means that the daily regimen for the pills may be incorrect and could leave women without adequate contraception and at risk for unintended pregnancy, Pfizer said in a news release.

Experts said the error could pose real problems for women using the pills.

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have been urged to get some serious counseling for the benefit of Nahla, but their marathon court hearing today was contentious and largely unproductive … law enforcement sources connected with the case tell TMZ.

We’ve learned the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services submitted more than a dozen recommendations to the judge, including mediation … in which a 3rd party would sit with Halle and Gabriel and try to figure out how they can peacefully raise their child.  We’re told Halle was receptive but Gabriel wasn’t.

And our sources say … Halle agreed to continue her individual counseling, which will help her deal with what has become an impossible situation.

As for Gabriel, he’s agreed to counseling for his anger issues.

And, as we first reported, both parties agreed today to send 3-year-old Nahla to counseling.

We’re told the judge did not make any decision on the fate of the nanny, whom Gabriel wants fired.

And the judge hasn’t ruled on Halle’s request to keep Gabriel from Nahla until the child endangerment investigation runs its course.

The “X Factor” is getting a complete makeover. Host Steve Jones and judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger will not return to Simon Cowell’s TV talent competition next season.

Jones confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, “I won’t be hosting next seasons X Factor which is a shame but I can’t complain as I’ve had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show.” A Fox rep confirmed that Scherzinger also won’t be back, according to the Hollywood Reporter. An insider told E! the former Pussycat Doll wants to focus on her music career, adding, “She’s spoken to Simon and he’s given her his blessing.” Sources close to the show confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Abdul also is parting ways with the Fox show.”She found out today,” a show source told E!. “At this point, the only ones staying are Simon and L.A. Reid.”"American Idol” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe chimed in on the reports, tweeting, “Shocked to see Simon has fired Paula Abdul, Nicole and Steve from the X-Factor.”Cowell debuted the American version of “The X Factor” last summer. So, why the sudden shakeup? There’s no word for sure, but some reports speculate that ratings may play a role.
