Jay-Z’s past accidentally slapped him in the face today during the groundbreaking ceremony for Barclay Center, future home of the Brooklyn Nets.

Brooklyn borough president Marty Markowitz, in his introduction of part-owner of the basketball team, unknowingly referred to Jay-Z’s drug dealing past when he introduced him as “the man, who as he famously said, went from bricks to billboards.”

Jay-Z To Attend Brooklyn Nets Groundbreaking Ceremony; Protests Expected

Jay-Z is expected to attend a ground breaking ceremony for the Nets’ new arena in Brooklyn today (March 11) at Atlantic Yards in Brooklyn, New York.

The rapper, who owns a percentage of the team, will be joined by developer Bruce Ratner, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Gov. David Paterson to break ground on the construction for the construction of the Barclays Center, an 18,000-seat arena.

While some may welcome The Nets to Brooklyn, other property owners are planning to boycott today’s ceremony.

Develop Don’t Destroy Brooklyn will protest today in addition to challenging the project in court over private land being used by the state to develop the area.

Over 22 businesses and residents near Atlantic Yards will be evicted by the state if they do not voluntarily vacate their property by April 1st.

Didn’t 50’s son’s mom accuse him of burning down her house? 50 was being interviewed in Finland and he was asked who would his boss be in his “personal hell.” Then the person asked what would he have done to be sent to hell and 50 Cent said it would be for killing his son’s mom. A Staten Island mom who said her botched boob job left her looking like she had four breasts was awarded $3.5 million for pain and suffering yesterday. “I hope this will give other women in the same position the courage to come forward,” said Maria Alaimo, 46. The jury found that Dr. Keith Berman botched her 2003 plastic surgery — which was supposed to be a breast lift and augmentation — leaving her with an embarrassing condition known as “double bubble deformities.”

Describing the condition, her lawyer Michael Kuharski said, “It appears like there’s two breasts [on each side] stacked on top of each other.” The bungled surgery even contributed to the end of her marriage, he said.

“She slept in a different room, she’s depressed, she lost her self-esteem,” said Kuharski. “She ultimately pushed her husband away to the extent that he filed for divorce.”

Ludacris & Bill O’Reilly Beef Comes To An End

For nearly eight years, Ludacris and Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly have been engaged in a war of words, and it seems like that war has finally come to an end.

Ludacris told RadarOnline.com that he confronted O’Reilly at a recent event and the two squashed their beef.

I identified that I wanted to speak to him when I saw his name on the guest list. I looked at what table he was on, and I walked my a** straight to that table. He wasn’t expecting to see me, at all. The look on his face when he saw me approaching… priceless.

The first thing I said to him was, ‘I want to meet the guy who has had so much to say about me, but knows absolutely nothing about me.’

The conversation we had was confidential, however, let’s just say it was a good conversation and good came out of it.

The beef between Luda and O’Reilly began in 2002 when O’Reilly launched a boycott of Pepsi for using Ludacris as a spokesperson, claiming that Ludacris “disrespects women, encourages drug use, and encourages violence.”

Pepsi caved in and dropped Ludacris from their campaigns.
