You’re invited  to a VERY SPECIAL birthday party!!!  Our National Park Service is celebrating its 100th Anniversary and our very own Cuyahoga Valley National Park–located just 10 miles south of town–is just the place to celebrate it! The BIG WEEKEND is August 20 and 21st!!! On Saturday, August 20th you can put in some volunteer hours, then have a picnic in the park. Then on Sunday, August 21,st bring your family and friends out to Howe Meadow for family activities ranging from an Ollie the Otter Scavenger Hunt, to drawing on Giant Coloring Book pages, to paddle boarding or kayaking on Indigo Lake. Pack a picnic and enjoy Music in the Meadow from noon to 5 p.m. featuring the sounds of Cleveland’s own Singing Angels and Chicago’s pure vintage blues band, Mississippi Heat! There will even be complimentary cupcakes, folks! Don’t be a party pooper! Come on down to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and help the National Park Service celebrate their big year.
