Chris Brown is already an accomplished singer, dancer and actor and now he’s about to add “director” to his list of accomplishments. We’re not talking about a student film either, we’re referring to the fact that Brown has been enlisted to get behind the lens to direct the video for Wale and Big Sean’s collaboration “Slight Work.”

“I really wanted to do something special amongst the young guys,” Wale recently told MTV News. “It means so much to me, as far as the genre goes and the preservation of the genre, for us to keep giving back to each other and keep working with each other and make beautiful music and do important things for our culture.”

.

Wale went on to explain, “me reaching out to Chris is bigger than me reaching out to a homeboy, it’s me reaching out to an aspiring director. I think a lot of people put a lot of us into one box and don’t know we have other passions. I wasn’t surprised, a guy that creative and that talented, I’m sure he has other things that he wants to do.”

.

Big Sean wasn’t quite as confident initially but insists that once he saw the results of Brown’s effort he was sold. “At first I was kinda skeptical,” he admitted, “then I saw it and was blown away.” Brown hasn’t announced plans to direct any more videos but Wale believes the R&B icon could have a new career as a director based on the “Slight Work” clip. “My secret weapon is gone,” he said. “This is my last video directed by Chris Brown; we won’t be able to afford it after today.”

.

So what do you think of Chris Brown’s decision to get into directing and do you think he’ll be able to pull it off? Let us know while you’re moonwalking to Brown’s Radio page, which you can find right HERE.
