Cleveland rapper Blac Cease is knocking on mainstream music’s door.

Born Deonte Deshawn Peters in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Cease found himself working with industry professionals early. When he started in 2007 he says he was given the chance to be on pop star Jesse McCartney’s hit song “Leavin”.

Blac Cease has now joined forces with D. Boyd of Crew Camp to work on his upcoming studio album, “Hello World”. Blac Cease considers his style of music to be versatile ranging from Hip-Hop/R&B to Pop.

Since dropping his mix tape, “Everybody Hates Cease,” he has performed all over the region, none of which he says compared to to performing at the 2010 Summer Jam concert. Cease considers hitting the stage at Summer Jam the “chance of a lifetime”. Cease says he creates “music for the people” and has started a series called Blac Fridays in which he releases a new song every Friday until his mix tape “For the Love of Cease” drops later this year.
