Former “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer made headlines earlier this summer when he abruptly filed for divorce from wife Camille Donatacci. And now, the Daily Mail reports the newly single comedian is expecting a child with his girlfriend, British Airways flight attendant Kayte Walsh.
Grammer, 55, and his British gal pal, 29, have been snapped by paparazzi around New York over the past several days, but it only just came to light that Walsh was carrying the actor’s child – his fifth.
Walsh’s father, former English soccer player Alan Walsh, confirmed the news, saying, “It’s great news and we are very pleased for them both.”
He went on to say that he didn’t know the details of his daughter’s relationship and had yet to even met Grammer, but was glad she was happy.
“I don’t know how long they have been together and I have not met him yet, but I’m looking forward to it,” Alan Walsh told the Mail. “The main thing is for them both to be happy and they are – they have just hit it off together.”
He also speculated that the two had met because Kayte Walsh’s job takes her stateside often and she spends a good amount of time in New York.
But while Grammer’s new relationship blooms, he must still tend to the remnants of his old one. According to RadarOnline.com, Donatacci is seeking sole custody of her two children with Grammer: 8-year-old daughter Mason and 5-year-old son Jude. She cited “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce papers.
The gossip site also reports that Grammer filed legal documents to prevent Donatacci from a cut of his “Frasier” earnings. The actor’s marriage to Donatacci was his third; he previously wed dance instructor Doreen Alderman in 1982 and tied the knot with stripper Leigh-Anne Csuhany in 1992.
