Ne-Yo has revealed that he hadn’t even hit puberty yet when his hairline began receding like a man approaching middle age – which explains why you rarely see him without a hat (unless it’s a mug shot – see above photo).
“My hair starting thinning when I was 13. It runs in the family,” he tells The Sun.
The 30-year-old R&B singer/producer said it was hard to cope with when he was younger – but has since come to terms with it.
“I initially started wearing hats to cover up my shame. Now I don’t give a damn,” he says. “I can be sexy without hair.”
Ne-Yo’s new album, “Libra Scale,” is due in stores on Oct. 5.
