Sean “Diddy” Combs has officially taken the top spot as hip hop’s wealthiest artist with an estimated $475 million net worth according to Forbes magazine.

Diddy came out on top of the list based on his interest in his clothing line Sean John, Bad Boy Worldwide label and his Diageo joint venture with Ciroc.   But don’t worry Jigga wasn’t far behind in the second spot worth an estimated $450 million.

Dr. Dre ranked 3rd with $125 million and 50 Cent came in 4th worth $100 million. None other than Baby of Cash Money records came in 5th place tying with 50 Cent worth $100 million.  What happened to Baby being worth $500 million?  As Jay-Z would say “really half a billy…really?”

Just in case you were wondering how Forbes finds out all these rappers business:

“In order to form the list, we followed the same procedures we use to calculate the list of the world’s billionaires— valuing current holdings, looking at past earnings, leafing through financial documents and talking to a bevy of analysts, attorneys, managers and other industry players to find the nitty-gritty details.”
