Here we go again!
California transgender couple Scott Moore and his hubby Thomas are expecting a baby. Moore and Thomas are legally married as Moore still has a female birth certificate.
At the age of 16, Scott began taking male hormones and later had his 36DDD breast removed. DAMN! Talk about removing a lot of excess baggage!
As for Thomas, he had a hysterectomy and gender reassignment surgery last year, so Scott decided to carry the baby and became pregnant last June after being inseminated with the sperm of a male friend.
The couple has been together since 2007 with Thomas having two kids, Gregg, 12, and Logan, 10, which he had with a previous female partner who later passed away.
The happy couple is now expecting a baby boy next month who they’ve decided to name Miles. And as for concerns that the child might be teased and harassed when he gets older, says Thomas:
“We’ve been through it already. My son Logan was bullied but now he just says to teasers: ‘You may have a problem with my two dads but I don’t so you’re not hurting me’. … We want to show the world that trans-families can be healthy, loving and nurturing.”
As for Scott, he plans to have a natural birth next month and his doctors have already warned the medics at their local hospital. Says Scott:
“We didn’t want everyone to be shocked when a man turns up to give birth. We found it very difficult to get a doctor and midwife at first. It was hard when people didn’t want to treat me. No pregnant person should be denied healthcare just because they are a man. I’m looking forward to giving birth now. With Thomas at my side everything will be just fine.”
