Oh snap! Three-time WNBA MVP Sheryl Swoopes is returning to the league! She signed a deal with the Tulsa Shock. Tulsa coach and general manager Nolan Richardson confirmed the signing Monday.

Swoopes turned 40 last week and last played in the WNBA in 2008 for the Seattle Storm. She’s spent the last few years playing overseas and is joining a team that finished last season 6-28. The former Texas Tech star won four WNBA titles while playing with the now-defunct Houston Comets. She won her last MVP award in 2005.

I’m betting they’ll probably have a better season with Sheryl :)
