Film Director, Benny Boom is well known for his stamp on hip hop music videos such as Waka Flocka Flame – Hard in Da Paint, 50 Cent – Just a Lil Bit and Window Shopper, T-Pain – Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’), R. Kelly – I’m A Flirt (Remix) plus many more spanning the past 10 years. Most recently he has shown his hand at feature films with the films ‘Next Day Air’ with Mike Epps and Swat 2 FireFight. Boom has been nominated for Director of the Year in 2011 which is only one of the few he has had in recent years. We were able to sit with Boom one on one on the day of the BET Awards to pick his brain about the industry of film, his evolving career and his inspirations when working with some of the hottest artists in the game.
