Mike Myers will return to his iconic role as Austin Powers, man of mystery, officially signing a deal for “Austin Powers 4,” on Friday, HitFix reports.
The site confirms that the 48-year-old actor will return for the first time in over a decade as the comical spy character.
The storyline for the spy-spoof film has not yet been released. Nor has a director yet been assigned, but there are rumors that Jay Roach, the director for the previous three films –“International Man of Mystery” (1997), “The Spy Who Shagged Me” (1999) and “Goldmember” (2002) — is a top pick.
Since his last appearance as the groovy Powers character, Myers has appeared in “The Love Guru” and “Inglourious Basterds,” and was the voice of Shrek.
