Three of the five young men who accused Bishop Eddie Long of sexual abuse were well aware they risked losing their settlement money by speaking out about the case, and it now appears that Long and New Birth have set the wheels in motion for that to happen.

According to the AJC, attorneys representing New Birth Missionary Baptist Church have informed three of the five young men who accused Long of sexual coercion that they intend to recover nearly $1 million from their financial settlement.

The attorneys allege that accusers Jamal Parris, Spencer LeGrande and Centino Kemp violated terms of a confidentiality agreement outlined in the settlement with Long and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.  The law firm is seeking at least $900,000 already paid the three accusers.
