Heavy D has come home to rest in the city where he was raised. Currently, there is a large amount of police in the vicinity of the wake and numerous streets around the church are blocked off for protection.
As this is a public viewing, celebs on hand are being escorted through a separate entrance. Heavy’s friends like theWayans brothers and Salt & Pepa have already been spotted at the open casket viewing. People are being escorted through the viewing in groups of five.
Even though there are no cameras allowed in, we’re told by an attendant Heavy, dressed in a suit, “looks very peaceful.”
The wake will take place until 6p EST today. And the private funeral will take place in the same location tomorrow.
Just days ago, Heavy’s autopsy results were deemed “inconclusive,” but no illegal drugs were found in his system. It will be several more weeks before a cause of death is determined.
