We’re just learning boxing legend Muhammad Ali was reportedly taken to hospital after falling unconscious at home just days after his frail appearance at a funeral for Joe Frazier. He was released just in time to spend Thanksgiving with his family in Vegas! Thank ya!
Ali was last seen in public at a Philadelphia service for his fellow boxing legend on November 14, but a woman called 911 for him five days later.
The call came from the 6,000 sq ft estate he shares with wife Yolanda in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Paramedics and the police confirmed a 911 call was in Arizona. She indicated an elderly man was unconscious. A spokesperson for the Healthcare Osborn Medical Center indicated, “The victim started to pass out in the car and when they got him into the house he fell unconscious.”
The 911 tape was filled with info about the medical details of the victim who was “suffering from an ongoing condition.” The Paradise Valley Fire Department said by the time an ambulance arrived, an independent company took the patient from the house to the hospital.
It’s unclear as to whether or not Muhammad was treated for at the hospital as well as how much time he spent there. The 69 year-old legend has been battling Parkinson’s disease for 30 years.
In a recent interview, his daughter Laila said the incurable illness has sadly taken over. “He has good and bad days,” she said. “It’s a progressive disease and it’s something we both have to deal with. But he still gets out and he loves people. He has a lot of grandkids and he adores them.”
We wish him the very best!
