Two women have been thrown behind bars after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of bras from Victoria’s Secret stores in Florida.
29 year old Tysheka Pink, seen above and 39 year old Katina Summerset, seen below, were arrested after allegedly stealing $16,000 worth of bras and returning them for the cash.
They were arrested on Wednesday on grand theft charges after more than five months of the schemes, according to police in Boca Raton.
Earlier that day, they allegedly left a store with a shopping bag crammed with 90 stolen bras worth $4,500! Police began investigating the case in January after a woman distracted a Victoria’s Secret clerk while another stole more than $3,000 in bras.
The underwear was later returned to a different store, according to police. Victoria’s Secret managers told police that Pink and another woman had returned bras worth over $6,000 to stores between October and January.
The total loss from Victoria’s Secret linked to Pink is around $16,000. She has been positively linked in connection with seven incidents at Boynton Beach Mall, police said. Loss Prevention Manager Osmany Benitez called police on Wednesday to say Pink and Summerset had been spotted at the Town Center Mall.
Police officers arrived and took the two into custody. Summerset told police she and Pink had been stealing bras from different stores for months, and that they either kept them or returned them.
Pink, from Miami, was being held on $97,500 bond, and Summerset, from Florida City, was being held on $13,500 bond.
