Breaking news out of Cleveland this hour.
19 Action News has learned a 10-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen on Dove Avenue.
It happened around 6:45AM.
EMS was notified, responded to the scene and rushed the victim to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he expired from his injuries.
The Division of Police Homicide Unit was notified and responding.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the victim’s 13-year-old brother was handling a handgun inside the home and the weapon discharged hitting the victim in the abdomen.
The 13-year-old was taken into custody.
The incident is under investigation.
