Well ain’t this some good news folks! ESPN says Monday Night Football will bring back sideline reporting.

Ya girl Lisa Salters has been given the plum assignment.

You may have seen Salters, an ESPN/ABC sideline reporter for those NBA games. Above you can see her having fun with Kobe’s mask.

CBS doesn’t use NFL sideline reporting and MNF, after having two sideline reporters in 2010, didn’t use it last year.

For Salters, who’ll stay on the NBA sidelines as well as on ESPN’s E:60 news show, MNF vindicates her career decision that working sports is real work.

Though a self-described “bench warmer” on Penn State’s basketball team and a cousin of NFL great Tony Dorsett, she didn’t want to leave ABC News for ESPN in 2000: “I wasn’t interested because I felt I was at the top — having been told network news was the pinnacle — and had it in my mind sports was just fun. … Then I kicked myself that I didn’t move over sooner.”

This should be good TV folks! Loving how the networks now have 2 sistah’s as sideline reporters. Don’t forget about FOX’s sideline reporter for football….Pam Oliver.
