A couple in Spain was arrested for shoplifting from a bookstore hours after they fled from police, because they returned to the scene of the crime to pick up their baby…who they forgot while they were shoplifting.
Here’s what happened: The couple was caught by the shopkeeper in the midst of their crime, but they ran for the door before they could be apprehended. In the process, they left their baby at the store. The shopkeeper called police and left the kid with a caretaker for the time being, and officers waited at the store for the couple to return looking for their kid. They did, of course, and the cops promptly arrested them.
So, yeah, if you look up “dumb criminal” in the dictionary, there will be no words, just a picture oh this couple’s faces. True story.
