At the beginning of the week there were rumors circulating that Stevie J had gotten Tammie Grant, the ex-wife of NBA player Gary Grant, pregnant. The possibility didn’t seem too far fetched considered Stevie’s disdain of fidelity but for the sake of that child and the wish that there wasn’t a baby mama number six on the rise, most people were hoping the story would prove untrue. So far, it looks that way. Tammie reached out to Necole Bitchie to clear the air, and though she did say she used to date Stevie, she thankfully is not with child.
“I am not pregnant with Stevie J’s baby,” she said. “There are rumors being said that just are not true. Yes, at one time me and Stevie were very close and we were seeing each other. I never gave Stevie any money which is absurd, nor did he break up my marriage, me and Gary Grant were already separated for 2 years when me and Stevie met. It was at my best interest to distance myself from Stevie and the scandals. I only have kind things to say about him and fond memories. I wish him and his beautiful children all the luck.”
I’m sure we’re all curious if the time they were seeing each other was during the same time he was with Mimi, but let’s just be grateful no innocent child is being brought into the mix. It’s also good to know she hasn’t been using her divorce settlement to fund Stevie’s career, like some sources were reporting. A rumor of this sort involving Stevie J coming out at the peak of the “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” hype likely won’t be the last, but for now he’s dogged another serious bullet.
