Yakia Lashonta Mays is a 35 year old woman who lives with her mother. And when her mom got upset that Yakia left a “a bloody tampon on the bathroom counter top,” Yakia went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife, charged her mother, while screaming “B!tch, I am going to kill you.”
52 year old Sandra Mays told cops that, fearing for her life, she ran to a back bedroom and locked the door. The mom added that Yakia tried to break the door down. While doing this, she said, “B!tch, I am going to stab you in the middle of your f*cking forehead.”
When cops arrived at the duo’s apartment, they observed that the bedroom door was “semi broken off the frame.” They also recovered the kitchen knife from the nightstand in Yakia’s bedroom. Mays was arrested for felony aggravated assault and booked into a Dallas County jail, where she is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
A police check revealed that Mays has a “prior history of assault with a deadly weapon.” In July 2006, she was sentenced to four years probation for an aggravated assault conviction, according to court records.
