In President Obama’s perspective, the two entertainers will eventually come to terms with one another.

President Barack Obama has a message for Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey — GIVE PEACE A CHANCE!!!!! The war at the “American Idol” judges’ table was escalated all the way to the Commander In Chief this weekend when POTUS appeared on Michael Yo’s radio show. “I think that they are going to be able to sort it out,” Obama said … “I am confident.” Obama continued, “I’m all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they’re moving forward and not going backwards.” And when asked who’s his favorite, Obama actually picked a side — replying, “Mariah. She’s actually done some events for us. I’ve gotten to know her and Nick [Cannon]. She’s a wonderful lady.” He added … “Nicki, I don’t know, but I’ve got her on my iPod.” (TMZ)

Earlier this month, “American Idol” producers downplayed the feud.

“This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we’ve ever had. We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can’t imagine a better group to find the next American Idol,” reads the statement. “Despite all the accusations and media speculation — much of which is inaccurate — production is going extremely well today and the judges are focused on finding the best talent here in Baton Rouge.” (MTV)

In early October, Nicki got on Twitter and claimed even the “Idol” producers had her back.

“Hey yAll. Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she’s a black rapper. Lmao. I’ll then hit up Barbara n milk it,” she tweeted October 4th.

“Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho. Lol @ the struggle. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence barbz.”

“Barbara walters didn’t reach out from our team barbz. I guess we’re too dangerous. Don’t shake if u don’t wannA get shook!!!!” (Nicki Minaj’s Twitter)

According to reports, Carey appeared on “The View” and accused Minaj of threatening her.

“American Idol” judge Mariah Carey says multiple people heard fellow judge Nicki Minaj say, “If I had a gun, I would shoot the b***h” after launching a curse-filled rant at Carey during an “Idol” audition, Barbara Walters said on “The View” today after interviewing Carey. Carey told Walters, who conducted the interview this morning before the show, that she “doesn’t feel comfortable emotionally” but will continue with the show and has hired extra security. Carey, 42, told Walters the altercation between the judges began when they disagreed on a contestant’s audition Tuesday in Charlotte, N.C. (ABC News)
