TJ Jackson (pictured) has been serving as co-guardian of the late singing icon Michael Jackson’s three children since last summer and has not been given one dime towards their living expenses, TMZ reports. He now needs money in order to continue caring for them and has asked Michael’s estate executors for monthly monetary assistance in order to fulfill his surrogate duties.

TJ, son of Tito Jackson, was appointed permanent co-guardianship over the King of Pop’s three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket. He is sharing those duties with his grandmother and Jackson family matriarch Katherine. The guardianship role was granted by a judge after Katherine went missing for several weeks last year amid a bitter family dispute over Michael’s estate.

According to TMZ, TJ, who is married with three children of his own, spends roughly 40 hours a week caring for his cousins. TJ claims he is financially strapped and admits that helping to care for Michael’s three kids, in addition to his own three children, has not been an easy feat.

Michael’s estate executors are asking a judge to give them permission to pay TJ $9,000 a month–to be paid retroactive to July. Reportedly, TJ is struggling and may not be able to fulfill his surrogate duties to his late uncle’s children without the extra cash.
