Kelly Rowland is an open book these days. She shares details about her abusive relationship in her current single “Dirty Laundry,” and in a recent interview with Philly’s Hot 107.9, she reveals that she was the inspiration behind Destiny’s Child songs “Girl” and “Bad Habit.”

“It’s so funny because I don’t know how people connect dots with music and artists that they have followed for so long,” she says, “but when I saw people on Twitter starting to put all the pieces together, it was so interesting. They did it with “Girl,” they did it with “Bad Habit,” they did it with so many songs on that album.I was like, ‘Okay, that’s crazy.’”

She went on to say she gets emotional whenever she hears “Girl,” which was released on Destiny’s Child final studio album Destiny Fulfilled in 2004.

“Of course, I did! The girls [Beyonce and Michelle Williams] wrote it for me. Destiny’s Child is deeper than what people see on the surface. Those are my homies for life,” she says. “Those girls we stuck with each other – period.”

When asked if she read the comment her ex-fiancé Roy Williams made about “Dirty Laundry,” Kelly throws major shade and asks, “Who?”
