Stewart’s lawyer, Shiel Edlin, told TMZ that his client hopes that Williams will refrain from making nagative allegations against him.
“For reasons we cannot understand, [Porsha] displayed a reckless abandonment of anything close to the truth over the last eight months,” Edlin said. “We are also hopeful that Porsha will stop villifying Kordell at every opportunity.”
Stewart’s initial filing said the two married on May 21, 2011, and have no children together.
Stewart was a sensation in Pittsburgh in the late 1990s and was nicknamed “Slash” for his versatility as quarterback, running back and wide receiver.
He is a sports talk show host in Atlanta.
